How amazing that this is actually a bit of wood! Petrified peanut wood is formed when a piece of the tree falls to the ground and becomes eaten away by insects. The boggy mud fills the holes and eventually agatizes and petrifies into stone. This material then can be cut and sliced and polished into a beauty such as this.

I cut and polished this bit of peanut wood into a triangle shape and bezel set it in .925 sterling silver. I accented it with two dots and a circle bail.
